The main source of agricultural, forestry and fisheries data is the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The World Resources Institute provides data in its data base and the World Bank also provides limited agricultural data online.
FAO -- FAO provides free access to its database FAOstat at http://faostat.fao.org/. This data base is divided into 11 main categories-- Production, Trade, Food Supply, Commodity Balance, Food Balance Sheet, Prices, Resources, Population, Emissions Agriculture, Investment and Forestlry-- combining a total of 34 data bases. Data is available by country and region, for plant and animal products. In addition FAO provides a report food price indexes at http://www.fao.org/worldfoodsituation/foodpricesindex/en/ http://www.fao.org/worldfoodsituation/foodpricesindex/en/ On the lower part of the page is a section for the data can be downloaded with monthly time-series data starting in January 1990 as a spreadsheet.

World Bank -- The World Bank provides agricultural data in time series on its World Development Indicators data base. You can get the data for the latest year for a single country from links on http://data.worldbank.org/topic/agriculture-and-rural-development .
United Nations -- Data on the agricultural indicators related to the Millennium Development Goals is available at http://unstats.un.org/unsd/mi/mi_goals.asp
Gapminder -- Gapminder is an innovative data presentation web site which provides dynamic views of data changes over time using bubble graphs. Graphs are available for economic, population, health (including HIV/AIDS), environmental, agricultural and information technology data. Raw data can be downloaded from the site and a desktop version of the software is available free. Users can customize graphs using existing data, but cannot add new data. Much of the data used is from the World Bank and UN organizations. Gapminder is at http://www.gapminder.org .
WFP-- The Food AID Information System (FAIS) makes extensive data available on world food aid. FAIS is at http://www.wfp.org/fais/ .
FAO--Data on the nutritional composition of animal feeds is available at http://www.feedipedia.org/
