World Bank--The World Bank provides links to downloadable national level time series data on crime and conflict, including data on homicide, battle related deaths, displaced persons and peacekeepers at http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/VC.IHR.PSRC.P5

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) at www.unodc.org  makes extensive data on drugs and drug related crime available at https://www.unodc.org/wdr2018/en/maps-and-graphs.html.  There is also a link to downloadable data from a 2013 Global Study on Homicide at https://www.unodc.org/gsh/en/data.html .    The organization also publishes an annual report available in .pdf format.  The annual World Drug Report on Illicit Drugs (available annually since 1997) can be downloaded at http://www.unodc.org/unodc/en/about-unodc/annual-report.html . International Statistics on Crime and Justice provides data on crime, corruption, drug trafficking, drug use and illicit crop monitoring at http://www.unodc.org/unodc/en/data-and-analysis/statistics/data.html

WHO-- The World Health Organization makes data on Deaths from self harm (suicide) and deaths from assault (both sexes) (murder) under Deaths from External Causes. The link is at http://www.who.int/healthinfo/mortality_data/en/

CONFLICT

The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre at http://www.internal-displacement.org/ has a number of national level databases relating to internal displacement, these are available at http://www.internal-displacement.org/database/displacement-data.

ETHzurich https://icr.ethz.ch/data/greg/ provides access to a downloadable shapefile and a spreadsheet of names of ethnic groups and a link to an up to date version of the data base.

Social Conflict in Africa Database (SCAD) -- Is a data base developed by Harvard University which provides data on social disturbances in Africa. The homepage at https://worldmap.harvard.edu/data/geonode:scad_pt2_fr8 provides access to data in both spreadsheet and shape-file formats.
