The DHS site provides a range of data from more than 300 demographic and health surveys carried out in more than 90 developing countries. Some of the surveys are one off while others are repeated every few years. The site provides access to data in both spreadsheet format and shapefiles for GIS. Data is available at the national and sub-national level. The main data page is at https://dhsprogram.com/Data/.
Data collected varies by the type of survey carried out and the country being surveyed. For example, some surveys include HIV/AIDS data, others do not. The main page gives access to published reports, quick statistics, and full data sets. Raw data is available on request for researchers. The site also includes training material, tools and other information.
